Do you make board books for babies?
No. We print an 8.5-inch square premium hardcover with a dedication page and a printed bookplate. For babies that works well: you are the reader, so the pages do not need to survive teething, and the book lasts long enough to become the one they read by themselves later. Keep it on a high shelf and bring it down for lap time.
Can a baby really be the main character?
Yes. Upload one clear photo and we draw them from it on every page, in any of eight art styles. Babies have a way of looking exactly like themselves in watercolor. If you want Mom, Dad, a big sibling or the family dog in the story too, add them as characters; up to three people or pets fit in one book.
What reading level is a baby book?
You choose. For infants most parents pick the simplest level, which gives short lines, gentle repetition and a rhythm that is easy to read aloud. Because the story is written fresh for your child, you can ask for a lullaby feel, a counting story or a simple day in their life, and the words follow.
Is it a good baby shower or newborn gift?
It is one of the few gifts that is about the baby rather than for the parents. Order the hardcover with a dedication from you, or send an e-gift code if the shower is this weekend. If the baby has not arrived yet, the e-gift lets the parents make the book once they have the first photos.
