What is a good baptism gift from a godparent?
Something that names the promise and lasts. A hardcover with the child on the cover, a story about being welcomed and a dedication signed by the godparents does that in a way a bracelet cannot. It is read to the child now and read by them later, which is when they start to understand what a godparent is.
Can the godparents and parents be in the book?
Three people or pets can be characters drawn from photos, so the child plus both godparents, or the child and both parents. Everyone else appears by name in the story, and the dedication page is where the whole family can sign. If you want two casts, two books for one child is a lovely pairing.
Is it religious?
As much as you want it to be. Tell us it is a baptism in a particular church and the story can include the font, the candle and the words; tell us it is a naming ceremony or a dedication and we write it that way.
